That's how he taught, small moments became lessons that stuck with you long after the class was over. He wove stories from his own life and hard-won lessons into everything he taught, so learning from him always felt easy, engaging, and fun. I took every class of his I could. He was our field hockey team's liaison, and he walked me out on my senior day with my family. He showed up for his students in every way, and I'll carry his lessons with me for the rest of my life.

One of my favorite memories of Professor Edwards is from my very first class of his. He called me up to the board and told me to draw a line as high as I could reach, no other instructions. I drew it, and he said, "now do it again, higher." I could. The lesson was simple:I hadn't given it everything the first time, even though I was capable of more.
Harvey and I co-taught the Invitational Summer Institute for years at Penn State Harrisburg. He fundamentally impacted my teaching for the better. I will miss his laugh, his flair, his brilliance, and his friendship. His memory will remain close to our hearts and minds.

I was so sad to hear of Harvey’s death . A kind and caring man. Every memory I have of being in his company is of a soul filled with the best intentions, civility and an abundance empathy. - Joel Gori

Harvey was filled with a joy for life and shared it with everyone he met. Visiting Bucknell will never be the same without his welcoming smile. - Gloria J. Hicks

Harvey loved family! This is a pic from his Aunt Emma’s 100th Birthday. Thank God for the wonderful life he lived. May God give him eternal rest.

Professor Edwards took a large group of us to The Galpagos Islands our senior year old college, and showed us just how much fun he can have outside of the classroom. These memories will be cherished forever!

Harvey and I went to Jr High School together. In fact, he was in my wedding party. Very intelligent man who danced to his own beat. Shocked and saddened to hear that he’s no longer with us. My condolences to his family.

While I never had Mr. Edwards as a teacher, I was lucky to have him as the faculty advisor for Student Council, and was afforded the opportunity to be a part of one of the tours he did through EF. I was part of the Italy and Greece trip back in 2011 and there is a piece of advice he passed on that I still live by when traveling.
1. Never pack more than you can carry yourself. I am forever grateful I was able to know Mr. Edward and that my first time out of the country was chaperoned by someone who loved it just as much as I have grown to. Thank you for everything Mr. Edwards. You have left a lasting footprint on my life and I am sure many others.

My Uncle Harvey will always be my most iconic family member. He will be the award winning educator who inspired my teaching career. The man who married me to the love of my life. A legend who modeled authenticity, passion, satisfying wanderlust, and defying stereotypes. I’m so lucky he was part of my life and present for many joyful moments.

What a full life! The air in the room changed when he walked in.

Harvey gave to the community in so many ways. His steadfast support of Transitions and empathy for women and marginalized people was profound. He was alwys willing to show his support as he did with the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes effort each year. He had his own beautiful red heels and was on billboards showing his support to a community that knew him well.
